Ashley Acosta is a native of Lumberton, NC but relocated to the Fayetteville area to attend college in 2005 and after graduating in 2010 she remains a resident of Cumberland County. She has been an educator for seven years. She taught ages 2-3 at Snyder Child Care Center of Fayetteville, NC for two years. This is her first year with TCEA as a second-grade teacher. Ms. Acosta has taught high school Spanish for a total of three years. Two year was in the Anson County schools system, one year for the Association of Christian Schools International, and one year teaching middle-school Spanish in the Cumberland County schools system.
She serve as the Cape Fear Conference B youth financial secretary for The United Freewill Baptist Denomination INC. She also serves as assistant secretary for the missions department and group leader for Keep In Touch Ministries for her church Smith Chapel Freewill Baptist in Fayetteville, NC. She is the mother of one daughter.
